At E-Sign, we are proud to announce that we have once again been approved as a G-Cloud Digital Marketplace supplier for 2020. We’ve been a trusted supplier on the G-Cloud Digital Marketplace for several years now and are delighted to say that this year is no exception. This means our E-Sign products have once again been successfully vetted and approved for use by Government bodies and public sector organisations.
The G-Cloud Digital Marketplace is a useful platform for all public sector organisations looking for reliable IT services from reputable providers. To save the public sector valuable time, public organisations, including agencies and arm’s length bodies, can purchase IT services from a pre-approved pool of cloud and digital solution suppliers.
Businesses wishing to list their products and services on the Digital marketplace are legally required to meet a set of minimum standards.
G-Cloud suppliers have to confirm that they:
G-Cloud suppliers must also include information like:
We’re delighted that we have once again met all the qualifying standards and can continue supplying our cost- and time-saving document management platform, including our electronic signatures, ID checker and payment gateway, to HM Government and public sector organisations.
The Digital Marketplace was designed to make the procurement of IT and cloud computing easier for the public sector, providing a pool of framework agreements so organisations can buy the services they need without running a full tender or competition procurement process. The framework for G-Cloud was established through the Official Journal of the European Community (OJEU) under the Open Procedure and is fully compliant with The Public Contracts Regulations 2006. This regulation applies to all civil and non-sensitive security equipment and related goods, works and services. It ensures non-discrimination, equal treatment, transparency, mutual recognition, and proportionality in all procurements, whilst significantly speeding up the traditional tendering process.
The benefits of using G-Cloud are tangible:
With the public sector finding itself under increasing pressure to improve efficiency and cut spending, eliminating costly and time-consuming paper-based administration could prove hugely beneficial to Government bodies and organisations. In 2013, the Policy Exchange calculated that the HM Government could save £70 billion by going paperless. With cost-savings in mind, the Government aimed to make the public sector paper-free by 2020. Although 2020 has presented the overwhelming challenge of COVID-19, this target of complete digitalisation has not yet been met. For example, in 2018, 94% of NHS Trusts were still using paper-based processes and patient records. In 2019, NHS digitalisation was then officially pushed back until the end of the decade.
With the advent of COVID-19, there’s certainly been a renewed interest in digitalisation and new, more efficient ways of working. Paper-based processes are simply incompatible with remote working and social distancing and have proven themselves inefficient and outdated in the ‘new normal’. Here at E-Sign, we truly believe that the public sector stands to benefit from increasing digitalisation and a decisive move away from paper-based administration. All our products are designed with efficiency and cost savings in mind and help to drive greater productivity and profitability for our users. Integrating effortlessly into our E-Sign document management platform, our products combine to create user-friendly, time-saving processes.
By digitalising with E-Sign, public sector organisations can significantly reduce, if not entirely eliminate paper-based processes. This brings with it a plethora of benefits such as reduced costs and time-savings, greater efficiency, and improved user-experience. Whether using our electronic signatures, document management platform, API or integrated payment gateway, our E-Sign products can power public sector organisations forward and help the Government achieve its digitalisation targets.
By streamlining and simplifying document processes and signature collection, E-Sign can reduce the effort and time that goes into day-to-day administration. E-Sign’s integrated platform makes it easier to manage and store documents, with options to embed an ID checker, payment gateway or two factor authentications into your process. By increasing document efficiencies, public sector organisations can drastically benefit from improved productivity, freeing up time and energy that can be invested in other areas of operation.
By going paperless, the public sector stands to make considerable savings on paper processes and associated costs. Our e-signature solutions can significantly reduce spending on paper, printing supplies and postage fees, as well as saving on filing supplies like folders, envelopes, and storage cabinets. With the public sector under increasing pressure to cut costs and reallocate money to other areas like the NHS, digitalisation can help public sector organisations reduce unnecessary spending.
Using E-Sign to manage and process documents can significantly reduce document turnaround time. By digitalising your document processes, you can speed up transactions and document completion, reducing turnaround time from a matter of weeks to days. With the ability to fill in documents online, your clients and colleagues can complete and return your form in a matter of minutes, so you’re not waiting weeks for documents to be returned in the post.
